Research use & legal

What does “research use only” actually mean?

All Heartland Bio Labs compounds are manufactured and sold exclusively for in vitro laboratory research and ex vivo tissue studies by qualified researchers. They are not approved for human or animal administration and are not dietary supplements, drugs, or therapeutic agents of any kind. By ordering you confirm research-only use and agree to our Research Use Policy.

Are these products legal to purchase?

Yes — for legitimate research use. Research peptides are classified as research chemicals when sold for in vitro and ex vivo investigation by qualified personnel. It is the purchaser’s responsibility to ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws governing the possession and use of research chemicals in their jurisdiction.

Quality & testing

What purity standards do your products meet?

All products are required to meet ≥99% purity by HPLC analysis before any lot is released. Molecular identity is independently confirmed by mass spectrometry (ESI-MS or MALDI-TOF). Each released lot has an associated Certificate of Analysis documenting these results.

How do I access the Certificate of Analysis?

COA documents are available through our COA Portal. You’ll need your order number and the lot number printed on the product label. COAs can be downloaded as PDF for your laboratory records.

Where are your products manufactured?

All Heartland Bio Labs compounds are manufactured in the United States under controlled environmental conditions and quality release protocols.

Storage & handling

How should I store peptides upon receipt?

Lyophilized peptides should be stored at −20°C in a dry environment, protected from light and humidity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Refer to the specific product page and COA for compound-specific storage notes.

What should I reconstitute peptides with?

Most research peptides are reconstituted with bacteriostatic water or sterile water for laboratory use. Specific reconstitution protocols depend on the compound and intended research application. Refer to the product page for solubility notes.
