Shipping & Returns

All products sold by Heartland Bio Labs are for in vitro laboratory research use only by qualified research personnel. They are not approved by the FDA, are not drugs or dietary supplements, and are not intended for human or veterinary consumption, administration, or therapeutic use of any kind.

1. Order processing

Orders placed and paid for before 2:00 PM Central Time on a business day (Monday–Friday, excluding US federal holidays) are processed and dispatched the same business day. Orders placed after the cutoff, on weekends, or on US federal holidays are processed the next business day.

Heartland Bio Labs reserves the right to delay or refuse any order pending verification of the purchaser’s identity, address, age (purchasers must be 21 years of age or older), or research-use representation. Orders flagged for review will be communicated to the email on file.

2. Shipping destinations

We currently ship only to addresses within the contiguous United States. We do not ship to APO/FPO/DPO addresses, US territories, Hawaii, or Alaska except by prior written arrangement. We do not ship internationally.

We do not ship to residential addresses in jurisdictions where receipt of research compounds is restricted or prohibited by local law. The purchaser is solely responsible for ensuring that delivery to their address is lawful in their jurisdiction.

3. Shipping methods & transit time

  • Standard: 2–5 business days within the contiguous United States
  • Expedited: 1–3 business days (selected at checkout)
  • Overnight: Next business day (selected at checkout)

All shipments include carrier tracking. You will receive an email with the tracking number once your order is dispatched. Transit times reflect carrier estimates and exclude weekends, holidays, and carrier delays beyond our control.

4. Packaging & handling

Lyophilized peptides are stable at ambient temperatures during routine ground transit and do not require refrigerated shipping. Each vial is packaged with silica desiccant inside a protective shipping mailer. Upon receipt, the purchaser is responsible for promptly transferring products to appropriate laboratory storage (typically −20°C in a dry, light-protected environment) for long-term stability.

Heartland Bio Labs is not responsible for product degradation that occurs after delivery due to delayed pickup, improper storage, or mishandling by the purchaser or any third party.

5. Title & risk of loss

Title to and risk of loss for all products pass to the purchaser upon delivery to the carrier at our facility (FOB Origin). Once a package is in the hands of the carrier, the purchaser bears the risk of any loss, damage, theft, or delay during transit. Heartland Bio Labs is not the shipper of record for liability purposes and is not liable for carrier-side incidents.

6. Lost, stolen, or carrier-delayed shipments

Tracked shipments showing no carrier movement for more than seven (7) consecutive business days after dispatch are eligible for a courtesy investigation. Heartland Bio Labs will, at its sole discretion, open a tracer with the carrier on the purchaser’s behalf. Resolution depends on the carrier’s investigation outcome.

Packages confirmed as “delivered” by the carrier but reported as not received by the purchaser are the responsibility of the purchaser to investigate with the carrier and, where applicable, local authorities. Heartland Bio Labs does not replace or refund packages marked delivered.

If a shipment is delayed or refused due to an incorrect, incomplete, or undeliverable address provided by the purchaser, the purchaser is responsible for any reshipment fees.

7. Returns — final-sale policy

Due to the controlled-handling nature of research compounds and the impossibility of verifying chain-of-custody once a vial has left our facility, all sales are final. We do not accept returns, exchanges, or refunds for any reason other than the limited exceptions listed in Section 8 below.

This includes, without limitation, the following non-returnable scenarios:

  • Buyer’s remorse, change of mind, or ordering the wrong product
  • Ordering the wrong strength, size, or variant
  • Inability to use the product for any reason after delivery
  • Restrictions in the purchaser’s jurisdiction discovered after purchase
  • Product unopened or opened, used or unused
  • Product whose Certificate of Analysis is later disputed by the purchaser without third-party laboratory verification

Cancellation of an order is only possible if the order has not yet been dispatched. Once an order has been handed to the carrier, it cannot be cancelled.

8. Limited exceptions: wrong product or shipping damage

Heartland Bio Labs will replace, at no cost to the purchaser, products that fall into one of the following narrow categories:

  • Shipped the wrong product: The product received does not match the product ordered (verified by order confirmation and physical inspection).
  • Visible shipping damage on arrival: The shipping mailer or vial is physically broken, leaking, or otherwise visibly damaged in a way attributable to the carrier or our packaging at the time of delivery.

To qualify, the purchaser must:

  1. Contact support@heartlandbiolabs.com within three (3) calendar days of delivery (per the carrier’s delivery confirmation timestamp);
  2. Provide the order number, photographs of the outer mailer, photographs of the affected product(s), and a description of the issue;
  3. Not open, use, dissolve, reconstitute, or otherwise manipulate the affected product;
  4. Retain the affected product and all packaging until Heartland Bio Labs has confirmed in writing whether physical return is required.

Reported issues received outside this 3-day window, lacking the required documentation, or involving product that has been opened or manipulated are not eligible for replacement under this Section 8.

Replacement is the sole and exclusive remedy under this Section. Heartland Bio Labs does not issue cash refunds in lieu of replacement except where, at our sole discretion, replacement is impossible (e.g., the product has been permanently discontinued), in which case a store credit equal to the purchase price will be issued.

9. Return authorization & address

No product may be returned without a written Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) issued in advance by Heartland Bio Labs. Unauthorized returns are refused at the door and the carrier returns them to sender at the sender’s expense. The RMA, if issued, will specify the return shipping address and any required documentation.

10. Chargebacks & payment disputes

Before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute with your card issuer or bank, please contact us at support@heartlandbiolabs.com so we can resolve the issue directly. Our standard response time is one (1) business day.

By placing an order with Heartland Bio Labs, the purchaser agrees that this Shipping & Returns Policy constitutes the complete and exclusive statement of remedies available, and that disputes filed without first contacting us in good faith may be defended with reference to this policy, the purchaser’s order records, carrier tracking, and documented research-use representations.

11. Research-use representations

Every order constitutes the purchaser’s representation and warranty that: (a) the purchaser is a qualified researcher, research facility, or institutional research buyer; (b) the purchaser is at least 21 years of age; (c) the products will be used solely for in vitro and ex vivo laboratory research; (d) the products will not be administered to humans or animals, sold or resold to consumers, or used for any therapeutic, diagnostic, cosmetic, or dietary purpose; and (e) the purchaser will store, handle, and dispose of the products in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

Heartland Bio Labs reserves the right to refuse service, cancel orders, and restrict future purchases in the event of any breach or suspected breach of these representations.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Heartland Bio Labs’s total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with any product sold — whether in contract, tort, strict liability, or otherwise — is limited to the purchase price actually paid by the purchaser for the specific product giving rise to the claim. In no event shall Heartland Bio Labs be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including without limitation lost profits, lost research output, or lost data.

13. Updates to this policy

Heartland Bio Labs may update this Shipping & Returns Policy from time to time. The version in effect on the date your order is placed governs that order. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
